About

New Jersey born and bred. I was raised in a middle class family comprised mostly of cops, firefighters and medical first responders.  I fell in love with drama at 19 after reading Lanford Wilson's Burn This in the corner of the Drama Bookshop, speed-walking to the Port Authority for bathroom breaks between acts. I dropped out of college (where I was studying to become and English teacher) that year and entered William Esper Studio's, Meisner-based, two-year acting program. Afterwards, I traveled to Chicago to deepen my skills as an improvisor. In Chicago, I was particularly taken by the storefront theater culture. The influence of Chicago's handmade black-box theater is alive in my writing, which emphasizes simple set design and optimized makability. Today, back in the Greater New York area, I write plays and I am represented by Hilda Morfi and Glitter Talent's Film/TV and Commercial Acting Divisions. Aside from my work, I love literature (particularly Annie Baker, George Saunders, and Paul Beaty), powerlifting, hiking, and traveling. Ideally, I'll travel to somewhere I can hike. I am particularly taken by mountains and, over the past couple years, I've hiked through Patagonia and Machu Picchu.
